A series of 4 track tape experiments and sketches originally slated for release on the fabled Make Mine Music label - ‘Companions’ emerged in the early part of 2010, a fairly prolific time when so much seemed possible. On regular journeys along the A5 trunk road, between home and epic45 practices and sessions, these names became willing passengers; whether as voices on the radio or simply batteries in the mp3 player.

These were joyful and bucolic times, with trudges across fields, popping by the ‘Wheatley’ for a pint, then lengthy jam sessions and episodes of obscure ‘70s drama series on Hils’ TV.

The best times, the kind of times you wish you could live again. Companions, if you will, for the mind. Memories - friendly ones of course - but memories all the same.

**We are aware of the disparity in UK postage costs between the CD and CD + Print/Print + Download editions for this release. This is because of a 35% price increase in postage costs brought through by Royal Mail from 2nd October 2023. We have been able to offset this increase for the CD edition by purchasing stamps ahead of time, however Royal Mail do not produce stamps for packages weighing over 100g, meaning anything over this is charged at the new rate. This is something out of our control, which directly affects small labels such as ourselves and our customers when affording our releases. We have tried to keep these new postage costs as low as reasonably possible across the label**
