It's been some 8 years since we last saw the spoils of Vincent Wildly, which is far too long in anyone's book. 2015's 'The Black Nun' remains a singular piece of Salopian creative endeavour; one part live avant garde performance, another part investigative ghost story, fronted by Victoria Clinton's uncompromising cover art.

It also remains our only release of his, despite our best intentions.

At least, until now.

Plenty Wenlock Records is delighted to announce the release of 'Mynydd Tarw', a collection of dense, tape distressed soundscapes inspired by solitary hikes across distant Welsh mountainsides, in search of long-classified RRH (Rural Radar Head) stations.

Through these tracks, Vincent paints a series of intimate sound portraits; the thrill one could feel when chancing upon a forsaken site ('Esker' and 'Upland Surge'), while '52 52 55 N 3 22 19 W' embodies the menace of locating something secret, obscured from civilian maps.

We hope it serves as a reintroduction, of sorts, to the work of Vincent Wildly, and a taste of what's yet to come. Each release serving as a window into Vincent's particular blend of the ritual, the personal and the mechanical.

An accompanying video for the track '52 52 55 N 3 19 22 W' has been produced by Plenty Wenlock's own Eric Loveland Heath, filmed at dusk, up a hill, tracking an unmanned installation, in the middle of nowhere.
